The Manitoba Junior Hockey League released its schedule for the 2017-18 regular season, with action set to begin Sept. 22.

The three-time defending MJHL champion Portage Terriers are in action on opening night on the road against the Winnipeg Blues. It's the first game in a home-and-home set between the two clubs to begin the year, with Winnipeg at Stride Place for the Terriers' home opener Sept. 24. A rematch of the 2016-17 MJHL final is set for Oct. 28-29, with the Terriers set to host the OCN Blizzard in back-to-back games.

The league says teams will play a balanced schedule, with six games -- three at home and three on the road -- against each opponent.
