The Portage Terriers (22-9) are back on home ice after going 2-0 through the MJHL Showcase this week in Winnipeg.

They host Winkler (24-9) in the first of two at the PCU Centre tonight, and Winkler tomorrow. The season series is tied at two wins a piece with the home team walking away victorious every time. Terriers' forward Jeremy Leipsic says he's looking forward to the opportunity to catch Winkler in the standings.

"Obviously it will be a good test for us with a home and home against Winkler," says Leipsic. "They're a good team and there are a couple of big points on the line for us because we're only a couple back of them. We're going to have to have our 'A' game there because they're a good team."

Two Terrier wins would move them into a tie with the Flyers in the standings at 48 points. Forward James McIsaac lists a few things they need to do to come away with four points his weekend.

"I think we need to tighten up defensively, and definitely stay of out the box, our team has had some trouble with that," says McIsaac. "We just need focus on the simple things, we're a good team and I think we can handle them this weekend."

The Terriers and Flyers face off at 7:30 p.m. at the PCU Centre.
