Three current and former Portage Terriers' players were added to Morden's Minor Hockey Wall of Fame at the Access Event Centre in Morden.

Current Captain Riley Thiessen and former Terriers Michael Knaub, a forward, and goaltender Zac Robidoux, were all added to the famous wall.

"I've been looking at that wall for the past couple of years and there's a lot of guys I know on their," says Thiessen. "It's pretty special to be a part of it. My favourite minor hockey moment was probably winning the provincial championships, I believe they were in The Pas."

Clare Agnew, Director of Community Services for the City of Morden, explains what it takes to make it onto the wall.

"You have to have played minor hockey in Morden at some point in your career. The men have to play two years in junior or higher, and females have to play two years at NCAA University, or higher. We've added seven names this year. We highlighted Colby and Chay Genoway for winning the Spengler Cup. We've also added Zac Robidoux, Riley Thiessen, Michael and Victor Knaub, Scott Gall, Elmer Tabler, and for the first time we've added a female, Taylor Woods."

"It means a lot to me growing up there for a little bit after moving from Germany, everyone knows us around there. It's nice to see us both go up," says former Terrier Michael Knaub on being added alongside his brother. "The year I took off because of health issues, I came back for one game and we won the gold medal in our division. That was really memorable for me, especially because it was in Morden too."

Knaub says it was incredible to come to the Terriers halfway through their championship season, and he'll always remember his time with the club.

Agnew says the wall's important for the players themselves, and the future stars. "They all started hockey in Morden, or have played minor hockey in Morden, and I think it's good to give them recognition. A lot of people look at this wall so I think it's fun for the players (up there) and it gives the younger guys something to strive toward."

Former Terrier goaltender Zac Robidoux won the RBC Cup with the Dogs as a 19-year-old. He's currently with the Flin-Flon Bombers of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.

The Wall of Fame can be found just outside Huron Windows Arena in the Access Event Centre in Morden.
