The Tiger Hills Hockey League's 2016-17 regular season standings are set, and the playoffs are only a couple of days away.

"We have some very good teams," says league President Wayne Deschouwer. "We had to go down to the final night of the season to get the official standings for the league, which was great. (The league) was very competitive on any given night, and if you didn't bring your 'A' game, you could be in trouble."

The Killarney Shamrocks haven't stopped winning since the season started, and finished undefeated at 17-0. "Killarney was the Provincial 'A' champion last year, and they're on a roll this year. They look like they could definitely be the team to beat in all of Manitoba," adds Deschouwer.

The MacGregor Wild managed to get into the Tiger Hills Hockey League playoffs in their first year back in the league. They finished in sixth place with a 5-12-0-1 record. They're right behind the Gladstone Lakers who finished fifth at 8-9-1.

"We had our survivor series playoff over the weekend and Pilot Mound beat Melita, so they'll leave the East and play in the West Division Playoffs," Deschouwer points out. "The playoffs are set to start Wednesday with Deloraine and Souris facing off that night. Most of the other games will be playing on Friday though."

Here are the standings after the one-game playoff...
