A determined Portage Collegiate Institute (PCI) Trojans team wouldn't be stopped at the WC Miller Aces high school baseball tournament. They completed an undefeated run and knocked off Boissevain 10-3 in the championship final.

"We kind of scored throughout the game in the final," says head coach Jay Dewis. "We had a big inning in the second and got rolling from there. Overall there was a lot of hard work from a lot of different guys and we're happy with that."

The Trojans went 2-0 through round robin play Thursday and Friday. They beat Pilot Mound 13-1 in their first match of the tournament, and followed that up with a 13-0 win over Saskatchewan's Notre Dame Hounds. The took out the Garden Valley Zodiacs 11-3 in the quarterfinals, handed Northlands Parkway an 11-2 loss in the semifinal, then proceeded to finish off Boissevain for the championship.

They're back in action Monday when they visit Morden for Zone 4 high school action.
