The PCI Trojans won 44-15 over the St. Norbert Celtics yesterday in Winnipeg High School Football League action in Portage.

The Trojans took a couple of quarters to get going but really found their groove in the second half. Trojans' Tyler Fedak says Head Coach Brent Irwin really fired them up for the second half.

"We came out a little weak in the first half offense wise, then Coach Irwin gave us a little talking to and it pumped us up, and we brought our game up in the end

With the win the Trojans pull ahead of St. Norbert in the standing, the Trojans are 5-1 and the Celtics fell to 4-2 with the loss. "I hope the fans enjoyed the game," says Fedak when asked about the final home game of the season. "Hopefully, we can host another home game for them in the playoffs."

Trojans' Right Guard Isaiah Pangman says they're thrilled to be sole-possession of second place.

"It feels really good. Last year we (made it to the playoffs) and we lost in the first game, but now I think we're going to go all the way this year."

The Trojans take on Beaver Brae (0-5) in the final regular-season match of the year. With a win, they'd lock up second place, and a home playoff game.
