The PCI Trojans stormed through the Maples Marauders for a 42-8 win yesterday in Winnipeg High School Football.

The Trojans weren't the first one on the board in this Andy Currie Division match-up. Trojans' Head Coach Brent Irwin says they fought through the early adversity and never looked back.

"We got down to their 3 yard line, got stopped, and on the next series Maples got a 98 yard run for a touchdown. So we didn't get down on ourselves by being down right off the hop, and guys came back and played solid from then on."

The Trojans have 2 regular season games remaining, with their next game on Thursday in Portage la Prairie.

It's very important to finish strong," says Irwin. "We want to be at the top of our game heading into playoffs and there's nothing that builds confidence like wins. The boys are pretty happy, and hopefully we can have them in the best place possible going into playoffs."

The Trojans are 4-1 this season in second place.
