The PCI Trojans went undefeated through the round robin at the Manitoba High School Baseball Provincial Championships in Winkler.

PCI won their first match against Pilot Mound 13-3. Trojans' Lane Taylor picked up the Player of the Game award, he had 2 RBI's on a triple and a double.

They won their second round robin match 9-3 over Steinbach Regional. PCI was down 3-0 early into the game until Joey Moffat's 3 run home run tied the game. Moffat picked up the Player of the Game award for game 2.

Trojans' Head Coach Jay Dewis says it was an overall great performance.

"It was a good day. I thought we swung the bats well, and pitched well. We were able to kind of keep some pitchers alive for Friday and Saturday, so overall we're pleased with the day."

The Trojans await the loser of Neepawa and Dauphin in the quarter final. Dewis feels if they carry over their strong play they can punch a ticket to the semi final.

"We just have to continue to produce runs and hit the ball well. Hopefully we can play good defense behind our pitchers, and give ourselves a chance in the semi final game."

The Trojans quarter final match is at 11:30 Saturday in Winkler. That game was set for Friday, but wet conditions meant it was postponed.
