The U-15 Prairie Fire Black Volleyball team attended the Fuzion U-15 tournament in Virden.

Head Coach Teri Duclos says, "We had a pretty good 1st day beating Club West 25-21;25-7 and then loosing to Westman 25-21; 26-24. Saturday morning we came out strong beating the Cats 25-9; 25-19. This left us in 2nd place in our pool. We went on to defeat the Vipers 25-13; 25-17. We came up against Fuzion in the Semi final. This was a great game that went to a 3rd set which we won 15-5."

Their semi final victory set up a rematch with Westman in the Final. Duclos describes their final match. "

It was a very intense hard fought battle which we came out on top winning it in two sets 28-26; 25-21. Our defense was incredible!! The girls played so strong never giving up on one another! They put the pressure on with excellent offense only missing one serve the entire match! The victory was even sweeter because we were down to 7 girls on Friday and only 6 girls on Saturday, forcing other girls to play positions that they hadn't played before. "

The U-15 Prairie Fire Black have one more tournament this weekend, then it's Provincials in Brandon on May 7th & 8th. They'll be finishing the year off at Nationals in Regina May 20th-23rd.
