In the Manitoba Major Soccer League tonight, Central Plains FC pulled off victory number 1 at Rotary Republic Park in Portage la Prairie against the King's Park Rangers. Central Plains player Dawson Sawatzky reacts to the outcome.

"We were able to pull off a win which felt really relieving, especially with how the season has been going. I think we just slowed down and played to our pace and kept possession of the ball."

He notes this game shaped their outlook on the rest of their games.

"We kind of found our game plan for the rest of our games. It's really just to play a little bit more defensive and a little bit more possession oriented rather than pushing the ball all of the time. The main focus is possession, not getting goals."

The Central Plains FC hits the pitch next on July 6th, taking on Rovers FC at Republic of Manitobah at 7:30 PM.
