The Plum Coulee Xpress are one win away from advancing to the South Eastern Manitoba Hockey League final for the second year in a row while the Morden Redskins and Altona Maroons are now playing a best-of-three series.

Dwight Heppner, Brett Harder and Jordan Peters scored third period goals as Plum Coulee downed Warren 8-5. Andres Strome added two goals and two assists for the defending champion Xpress who lead the best-of-seven semifinal three games to one. Marlin Froese, Coltyn Reimer and Andrew Froese also scored for Plum Coulee. Scott Slagerman, Kyle Luschinski, Mats Meilleur, Bryn Lindsay and Donnie DeLaroque replied for the Mercs who led 3-2 after the first period. The teams were tied 5-5 after forty minutes. Game five goes Friday in Winkler.

Jay Fehr scored twice as Morden beat Altona 4-2. Kris Williams and Kelby Friesen also scored for the Redskins who evened that series at two games apiece. Shea Hamilton and Jared Barnabe replied for the Maroons. Game five goes Thursday in Morden.
