The Town of Arborg is in the process of renovating one of the parks in the town. Mayor Randy Sigurdson says council went over the plans at a recent meeting, and everyone was on the same page, so they decided to move forward with the project.

"We're going to redo the park on the library grounds, so the delegation just came to make sure that we were on the same page with everything that was proposed, and we were, so we gave them the green light to go ahead. We had budgeted some money for the park and we received a bit of a grant for that, so it's going to be a good improvement for the town for sure."

He explains why it will be beneficial to the town.

"It will be good because the legion has been doing quite a bit of work. We've got a new stage in that area, there's new fencing in the area, and we've actually trimmed up the trees in the area, so it will be a great addition to the town to have that whole area completed."

Sigurdson says there is no set time frame for the park, but notes it should be done by end of the summer.

"We just gave him the summer to do it because we're not in any great rush to get it completed, but it's going to be done this year."
