The Rural Municipality of Alonsa is issuing a burning ban effective immediately.  The RM Council is asking for people's cooperation until further notice.  Deputy Reeve Terry Dayholos says anyone caught burning during the ban may be fined.

Dayholos says the ban had to be put in place because last fall was very dry and there was lots of dry growth across the region. He says it has created a few issues, especially near the Amaranth area.

Here's the ban.
