The Alzheimer Society of Manitoba and the Central R.H.A. are working together to educate the Central Plains on the issues of the disease. Alzheimer Society

Regional Co-ordinator Gerry Gascoigne says the course, which is scheduled for this Saturday at Trinity United Church, will provide information on the disease and the challenges of care that can be created due changing behaviours.

Gascoigne notes the day will also review a few topics that are sometimes overlooked, such as self care or care for the caregiver. He says this education program will be valuable for family caregivers or friends of people with Alzheimers or other forms of dementia.

Anyone interested in taking part in the course, is asked to call 239-4898 or email alznc@alzheimer.mb.ca for more information.
