The annual PCI Grad Tea was held yesterday afternoon and the theme this year was Country Carnival.

English teacher Tyson Monk was one of the organizers of the tea and explains the students all came together to hold the event which raises funds for their prom and safe grad.

"It's been really good to see the chairs come together. We've got a few different committees and each committee had two student chairs to kind of make sure everything was going to get taken care of, for example with the bake table, with the silent auction, with the raffle, that stuff. It's been really cool to see them pull together and do what they need to do in order to raise the money for their party."

He adds a big thank you goes out to the grads who helped put the tea together.

Monk says the tea was well attended and graduating student Allie Nadeau notes it was crazy how many people come out.

"We were running the bake table so we expected a lot of people to bring bought stuff but there was a lot more baked stuff this year which was nice. We sold almost all of it. We had about ten tables full and it was gone in about an hour and a half, [in the end we had about half a table left]. It's been crazy but great."

Monk says they received more baking and dainties from the students this year than previous years and adds they had plenty of generosity on the part of local businesses who donated prizes for the silent auction and raffle.
