The Arborg Agricultural Fair began yesterday and continues throughout the weekend.

This morning kicked off with a pancake breakfast and there are plenty of fun activities throughout the day including a kids' zone with bouncy castles and a petting zoo, wine tasting, Canada 150 activities, rodeo action, an antique tractor pull and much more.

Arborg Ag Society Board of Directors member Lenore Olafson shares the tractor pull is a really popular event at the fair.

"At two o'clock we've got the antique tractor pull going on and that's a really popular event for our fair. Antique; that means all pre-1960 tractors and as original as they can be so it's really, really popular. We have a lot of people who love to come out to that event."

There is also plenty of entertainment to enjoy throughout the day today and tomorrow, Olafson explains.

"We've got great music, entertainment going on all day. We've got top-notch local talent and talent from around the Interlake."

You can even get up and dance if you like with the old time dance going on this afternoon.

"Inside the hall, we're having an old time dance with an old time dance band. We're finding that a lot of our seniors really still love to dance and they are following their favourite bands around the Interlake and so we were just wanting to offer that for them for the afternoon. So it's great fun."

Olafson says the fair always attracts a lot of people as it's a time for folks to reconnect.

There are plenty more activities on this weekend at the Arborg Agricultural Fair and you can check them out by heading out to the fair or by following the link to the Ag Society's website.
