RM of Rockwood council agreed to help see renovations completed on the Balmoral Hall. Reeve Jim Campbell said Hall representatives the community approached the RM.

"They want to do some renovations there so we said we'd support them on this with matching grant money," says Campbell. "We're flipping them $10,000. I guess they'll get some more from provincial fundings."

Campbell outlines the various uses of the hall including everything from fall suppers to small weddings and other family social functions.

"I believe actually one of the floors is used for a day care," he adds. "At least it was. It might have moved to a different building by now. That's what the renovations were for - to fix the lower level up so it can be rented out also. I don't know if any work of significance has ever been done in the basement to the point where you could rent it out for social evenings or for anything. It's basically been used for storage."
