A classic car show was held in Carberry on Sunday.

MC Tick Rowson says they are happy with the success of this year's event.

Winner Ken Peters with his 1951 Mercury M-3."We had a good turn out," says Rowson. "We had just over 275 cars register. The weather was okay, it would've been nice if it was sunnier. Overall, talking to people who have been here, everybody had a good time."

Cash prizes were given out at the end of the show. Bain Dekoning won a $500 cash prize for his 1970 Dodge Challenger, and Ken Peters won a $500 prize for his 1951 Mercury M-3. Dekoning says he doesn't do these events for the awards.

"It feels pretty good, but I don't expect to win anything," explains Dekoning. "I just show up to have a good time."

Peters says this isn't his first time winning an award.

"First year I won a $500 prize with a 1968 Fury-3 Convertible, second year I won $300."

Four $200 cash prizes were drawn as well.
