The population census for the RM of Victoria has undergone an adjustment. Reeve Harold Purkess says in the original census the municipality's population was set at 1,514 residents, noting that was a considerable increase over the previous count. Purkess says nobody could seem to explain why there had been such a substantial jump. He notes it turns out there was an error in the government's calculations and they've now lowered the total down to 1,132. Purkess adds the RM of Victoria is still growing, just not quite as fast as first indicated.
