The Portage la Prairie and District Chamber of Commerce found a new home this week.

They've officially moved in with the Portage Plains United Way (PPUW) at 20 Saskatchewan Avenue East in Portage la Prairie.

"I'm excited about our new space, and to share it with Portage Plains United Way," says Chamber Executive Director Cindy McDonald. "I'm no stranger to the organization because I was on the board for six years so I'm really excited for the new space and the things that might come out of it."

Pro-image signs will be heading in to install a shared sign for both the PPUW and the Chamber, and everything will be shared in the office including the administration person. This is the Chamber's second move in three years.

"We got a four-and-a-half year lease but hopefully it will continue on passed that," adds McDonald. "I don't want to have to move again. Hopefully, it's the long term and this will be our new home because it's such a great location for us. Right downtown and right on the Avenue, that's the part I'm really excited about because it gives us great visibility and that's the way it should be for the Chamber."

"We're very excited for the Chamber to be moving into the office," says Jen Sneesby, PPUW's Office Manager. "We're excited to have some new company in the office to share with, and we look forward to having new traffic coming in through the door to see some new faces and more potential donors come through the door to support PPUW."
