Clean-up Underway at Delta

Debris clean-up has begun at Delta Beach.

Deputy Reeve Roy Tufford notes the amount of debris at Delta is huge this year compared to previous years.

He explains the contractor they have working on their campground is also working of the debris clean-up.

"The machinery was already there; the big rock trucks, the big track-hoes with the thumb to pick it all up were already there. So it's all being put on our burn-site right now and as soon as it dries up a little bit I guess we'll be burning it."

He says while the public beach clean-up has started, the clean-up in front of the cottages likely won't begin until after June 15th.
