In just over a week, Portage la Prairie City Council brings down its 2017 budget.

Councillor Liz Driedger's hoping for a full house when it happens at their next meeting.

"Which is April 24th at 6 pm, on the second floor of City Hall. And at this meeting," she says, "Council will hear any person who wishes to make a presentation, ask questions, or register an objection to the financial plan, so if you have something to say toward the plan, please review it, it's on the (city) website, and come and be heard."

Driedger stresses Council wants to hear from you.

"And also hear any comments that the councillors make about the financial plan -- maybe there's just something that needs clarification, so we would really like to have a full house that night."
