The annual Culture Days Celebration took place Friday and Saturday afternoon at the Portage and District Arts Centre. The event has been taking place since 2008 and was extended this year to include a second day.

Coordinator Sandi Storen explains what was seen at Culture Days this year.

"We have all different mediums of artists working, we've got watercolour and some acrylic, some drawing. Kids were working on clay [on Friday]. We've got a shadow corner where people can go and play with coloured shadows. [We have] some scratch art."

Local dancers and musicians also provided entertainment.

Storen adds there was a steady turnout for the event but it's always great to have more people come out.
