The Lion King Junior's set to roar at the William Glesby Centre tomorrow through Sunday.

It's a production of 8-Bit Theatre, and features many young local performers.

Director Chris Kitchen tells us the young people have been great.

"I have been just overwhelmed," he says, "Every rehearsal that we've had up to this point. And watching the evolution of their choreography -- that's where we've really put our time in this year, is getting the choreography and dancing to the songs. It's going to be pretty incredible."

Rhea Goertzen12 year old Rhea Goertzen portrays a hyena cub named Dogo, and outlines how she prepares for the stage.

"I think the main thing you have to do is take care of yourself," she tells us, "Drinking lots of water, not getting sick, and protecting your voice. I just go over my lines a lot before I get on stage. Costume changes are crazy, but I think everybody's really ready. We've been practicing for a while now, so I think we can definitely pull it off."

Ranay Cabak's 11 years old and plays lioness cub Tifu. She hopes for a full house at all three performances.

"It's be really exciting because that would be really cool to have all of those people watching you," she says, "It would also be a little nerve-wracking, but I think it would motivate you to do your best, and try really hard, and be super-loud, too, and project your voice when you're singing and acting."

Tomorrow and Saturday nights, show time's 7:30. Sunday's a matinee, at 2.
