The Whoop and Hollar Folk Festival is three weeks away and they've started another promotion to get people excited for it. The festival's artistic director Josh Wright says they've seen good crowds so far.

"Last week a group met us at our venue before we got there," says Wright. "So people had found it, and we're partnering with Vision's Of Independence, a local organization, so they bring their members out too. So we had a good attendance last week, about 15 or 20 people."

He says it's a new activity, and they have a plan for people to find there next locations.

"One of the activities we do, particularly in the summer, is Find The Dance Party," says Wright. "That's a new activity where people go around town, kind of like a scavenger hunt, and try to find where we are every week. There will be a new location weekly, and we will post it on our website."

If you would like to take part, you can sign up for their email list on their website, www.whoopandhollar.com. The dance parties are held Thursdays at 1 p.m.
