We can expect this early preview of spring to stick around the Central Plains right up into the weekend.  Warmer temperatures have been reported across southern Manitoba. Chris St Clair of the Weather Network says it has been caused by a high pressure system coming out of the United States causing many parts of Canada east of the Rocky Mountains to be experiencing above average temperatures.  St Clair says that the extended forecast for Portage la Prairie and many other parts of southern Manitoba will call for double digit temperatures throughout the rest of this week. The region could also possibly reach up to 20 degrees celsius by the weekend. St Clair says precluding any unexpected weather system shifts, it will remain warm and dry up until at least the first official day of spring next Tuesday.
