Following in his father's footsteps. That's what Joshua Pashe of Dakota Tipi First Nation is literally doing as he takes his post-secondary studies.

"Right now in our first nation there's a program that our chief, council and education director offered to post-secondary students for more involvement with their community," says Pashe. "I'm going through post-secondary, and my teachables are going to be native studies and phys-ed."

Pashe says he's currently being mentored by his father and following along to see how politics function, including dealings with email, meeting people, and business communications. Pashe adds education's important to him and he likes to stress that to his fellow-youth members of his first nation.
