Devoted To You Ministries, based in Carman, extended its help for the homeless and those below the poverty line in Portage la Prairie this year. Founder Ron Eldridge says they had a set-back take place at yesterday.

Eldridge uses his residential property to store for goods distributed by the Ministry, and much was lost due to an overnight flood cause by a blown hot water tank at his home.

""We woke up this morning to a big flood. We did lose a lot of items that we had for people who need it, like boxed food, school supplies, and so on," Eldridge says.

He says donations can help get Devoted To You Ministries back on its feet again. Items needed include: food, clothing, and school supplies, as well as monetary donations.
