Students at École Arthur Meighen School received a presentation from former homeless man Joe Roberts yesterday who's helping to prevent youth homelessness by pushing a shopping cart across Canada, and speaking to school students. Student Kristjan Harley was there and explains one thing that stood out to him the most.

(L-R) Kristjan Harley & Jasmine Houle"His story. How his dad died at a young age, and then his mom got remarried with three kids," Harley explains. "And he got into drugs and got on the street. Then he just made it all back to a normal life. Now he's pushing a cart across Canada. I think it's great that he's raising awareness so that we don't go homeless, too."

Jasmine Houle's also a student and says she was impacted by how serious homelessness can be to have someone push around a shopping cart. She adds it's cool to see people like Roberts raise awareness for youth homelessness every day.
