Following the resignation of nine out of its 10 board members, Manitoba Hydro selected Southport Airport and Commercial Properties Director of operations Wade Linden to replace one of them.

"They approached me and asked me if I would sit on the board," says Linden. "So far we've just been through two orientation sessions, and we'll be having a couple of more before the end of the month."

Linden explains it's quite an interesting role, seeing as it's an important company in the province. He notes he looks forward to being involved. Linden says no committees are yet organized, and they're currently in the orientation stage. He adds committees will be established in the next couple of months. His term will last three years.

Linden will continue to do some work in Southport including the air show, as well as on the FACT (Future Aircrew Training).
