Southport had a visit last weekend by people from all over the world for the Accelerated Christian Education Global Summit. Directors from regions across the world met at the A.C.E. headquarters.

Vice President Duane Howard says, "We are here together to celebrate with Mr. MacLaren the Christian Educators Convention for this region, and we're also here as part of the Global Advancement Global Summit where many of the directors of the regions around the world have come together to Summit and brainstorm and plan."

Executive Director of Global Advancement Melody Kirkland outlines the topic of discussions.

"We will be reviewing the strategic plans we put together a year ago. We'll be determining new strategic plans for the upcoming year, and bringing them up to date and familiar with all the new things happening. The countries that are represented here are the Philippines, South Africa, Asia, Europe, Russia, and Peru, in addition to Canada and the States."

A.C.E. Manager Alfred MacLaren says they're privileged to host the event.

"Accelerated Christian Education Canada has been chosen to host the Global Summit here in Portage la Prairie. It's the first time that all these global representatives have come here from around the world. And we're very excited and pleased to have them here."
