The RM of West Interlake council has plans to build a half-mile of new road construction to serve a landlocked resident of the municipality.  Reeve Randy Helgason says one family had owned the entire parcel of land but ended up selling part of the property after one of the gentlemen passed away.  Helgason notes the person who purchased that portion needs access down the road, and the RM is obligated to provide him access to his property.

He says while they haven't yet received any tenders, he expects the cost of the new road to be approximately twenty-five or thirty thousand dollars.  Helgason notes the good news is they have material close by that they can use to build the road, adding they're currently working out a deal with MIT and it's been progressing well.
