The Portage Regional Library will be displaying a cool exhibit from the University of Alberta in honour of the 125th anniversary of Ukrainian settlement in Canada.

Portage library book sale coordinator and graphic designer Suzy Laevens describes the exhibit.

"It's called the Kule Folklore Centre from the University of Alberta, and we are fortunate to be the only place in Portage that will be having this exhibit. It's called 'Making a New Home, Ukrainian-Canadian Pioneer Experiences.' That's going to be a panel of information about the history of Ukrainians in Canada."

The library also has a lovely display in their showcase of memorabilia and artifacts from local Ukrainian groups.

The Kule Folklore exhibit will be at the library from September 13th to 17th.
