The Moosehorn Flood Protection project is more than halfway complete, according to the Reeve for the RM of Grahamdale.

Clifford Halaburda says contractors have begun working on flood protection measures in the east side of Moosehorn. Once work is finished, Halaburda says the village of Moosehorn will be protected from any future flood issues.

"Over the years there's been a lot of flooding around the village of Moosehorn, it's really been a problem," he explains. "It's a job, once completed, it'll be good forever."

The RM of Grahamdale is covering 10 per cent of project costs, Halaburda says, while the province covers the remaining 90 per cent. It's expected to be complete by October.
