Portage la Prairie's multi-use recreational facility is no longer called the PCU Centre. It's now Stride Place.

Stride Credit Union holds the naming rights to the building until 2030 and officially launched the new name today, unveiling the Stride Place signage for the facility's exterior.

"It's a very big commitment for our credit union here in Portage and region," says Stride CEO Brent Budz "We're very happy to re-name it, re-brand it and give it a new look."

Budz says all the signage, including the pylon sign with a digital display board that first greets visitors to the island, will be updated in the near future. New floor and stair features around the facility are expected too. "It will definitely have a different look and feel," he says.

The new sign's also in the main rink, now called the Stride Credit Union Arena
