The Portage and District Arts Centre has all of its classes open for more participants in Portage la Prairie. Marketing and events coordinator Lee Beaton outlines what's slated:

"The third screening of our Reel Event is 'Sign Street' and takes place Wednesday, January 18th at 7:30 p.m. in the William Glesby Centre. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. Individual tickets are available at the door for $10. Cash-only preferred because our table's in the hallway. Our winter programming has room in all our classes."

She says Busy Bees will have two sessions on Tuesdays and Wednesdays beginning on the 24th, Young Artists Mixed Media starts the 26th, Young Potters, two sessions of Adult Pottery on Tuesdays and Wednesdays beginning the 23rd and Monday Morning Pottery.

The Ooey Gooey Art Play still has spaces for children, Quilting Workshops For Beginners starts in February and for Intermediates starting in March, Boutique, Fabric Bowl Making, Portraiture Workshop with Peter Prince. Registrations are taking place now.

She adds spring programming will start toward the end of April.
