Stride Credit Union executives say members will experience planned service outages this coming weekend as the company merges banking platforms of the legacy Portage and Austin Credit Unions.

Stride V-P of Operations Dawne Dobbin says the banking network will go down Friday, June 9 at 5 p.m. and service will be fully restored at approximately 12 p.m. Sunday, June 11. Members are encouraged to withdraw extra cash prior to Friday in case accounts become inaccessible during the system merger.

"There is going to be some outages with debit cards. Members might not be able to get cash readily from the ATM or use it at point of sale purchase," Dobbin explains. "It will also affect online banking in general, so members might have problems paying bills or sending e-Transfers."
