The second annual Manitoba Precision Ag Workshop drew producers from across Canada to Southport. Southport Manager of Business Development Deanna Talbot describes some of the topics discussed. "..range of topics talking about soil optics, UAV, drainage flow and regulations, it was great to bring everyone out to Southport."

Felix Weber (Submitted Photo)Felix Weber of Ag Business and Crop, said the topic of precision agriculture is a complex one and it can mean many different things depending on the producer.  He details the goal of the workshop, "At the end of the day, the idea is to bring something totally different, maybe from a total different angle." Weber also noted new equipment, research and technologies were looked at including unmanned aerial vehicles, guidance systems and even driverless tractors.
