Warmer weather is coming, and before it does your air conditioning unit could use some simple maintenance to ensure it runs smoothly throughout the summer. Cobbe's Plumbing and Heating general manager Andy Taylor has some tips.

Andy Taylor"You need to check your furnace over and check your outside unit," says Taylor. "It's a good idea to have us come in and check the coil, the drains, clean the drains, clean your outside unit, and replace your filter. The filter's one of the biggest things in the air condition system that causes problems."

He notes the outside unit collects leaves and other debris, as well as suffers use by any pets you might have in your yard. Taylor adds you should clean the outside unit of its debris with a pressure spray every year before you start it up.
