A man and woman face charges after Mounties busted a marijuana grow operation in the RM of Rockwood.

Police say in a release Stonewall RCMP and the RCMP Emergency Response Team executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrant at a residence in the RM of Rockwood, east of Balmoral, Man., June 3.

Officers seized 76 plants, drug paraphernalia and cash in the raid. Five people were in the residence and taken into custody.

Terry Tronrud, a 42-year-old male, and Erin Tronrud, a 41-year-old female, have been charged with Production of Marijuana, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Marijuana and Possession of Proceeds of Crime. They have both been released pending an upcoming court date.

"Those who produce and traffic illicit drugs destroy lives, homes and communities," the police release reads. "The RCMP remains fully committed to enforcing laws against illicit drugs to their fullest extent."
