Portage la Prairie and Treherne RCMP have issued an arrest warrant for a 31-year-old male, who allegedly shoplifted items from many retailers in the region.

Police say in a release Derrick Wayne Myerion is believed to have stolen items from Wal-Mart, Panko's Food Centre, Portage Supermarket, Rona Building Centre, Pet Value and St. Claude CO-OP.

Mounties are asking for the communty's assistance in locating Myerion. He is described as an aboriginal male, 6-foot-1 and about 185-pounds. Myerion has short black hair, brown eyes and black facial hair, as well as several tattoos, including under his right eye and on his right forearm.

Anyone who knows of Myerion's current whereabouts are asked to contact their local police detachment. Anonymous tips can be made through Manitoba Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) and www.manitobacrimestoppers.com. Police say tips leading to the capture of Myerion may receive a cash award.
