The Portage Regional Library will be holding their Read Between the Frames movie night Wednesday August 31st at 6:30. This month the movie will be "Me Before You" which is based on the book by Jojo Moyes.

Librarian Lori Mackedenski explains a bit about the program.

"It's an ongoing series that we do throughout the year, it's usually the fourth Wednesday of the month. The films are 18+ so it's an adult program that we offer here at the library."

The movies chosen are always based on books. Typically the library has a copy of the featured book for those wanting to compare the novel to the film. Mackedenski explains some of her other criteria that goes in to choosing the films.

"I try to pick films that might not have played at our local cinema so something that sometimes people don't really get a chance to see otherwise."

The event is free but you need to register beforehand at the library to ensure that enough popcorn is made.
