While much of the flood damage at Delta Beach is being resolved, some loose ends include the replacement of a play structure. Portage la Prairie reeve Kam Blight explains how they're handling this additional issue.

"There was a play structure at Delta Beach that was damaged in the 2011 flood, and is part of our DFA claim where there's been funds provided by the municipality to replace that structure up to a certain amount. Unfortunately, costs for these structures are quite high. And some of the original ones that  were looked at were over and above the amount of money that was allocated."

Blight adds they decided to have another department resolve the problem.

"Basically what council said today was we're going to get administration to handle this issue, and work within the budget of moneys that's been provided for the play structure. Basically, it's in the administration's hands."
