The Portage Fire dept. received a call at 6:50 p.m. on Sunday, May 29th, about an accident that occurred at the intersection of Highway 240 and Road 73 North, just north of Portage la Prairie involving a single vehicle.  A lone occupant was driving a black 2006 Pontiac Torrent westward on Road 73 North, and seemed to have gone out of control, striking the abutment of a driveway just before the actual intersection.

The car rolled over across the driveway and landed on its wheels in the ditch on the other side of the driveway.   

EMS required the help of firefighters to help the injured male out of the vehicle.  The man was transported to hospital with unknown injuries.
