Heavy snowfall is shutting down the Central Plains. R.C.M.P. Staff Sergeant Miles Hiebert says the heavy snowfall has forced the closure of the Trans-Canada highway from Headingley to Portage la Prairie to vehicle traffic. Hiebert says driving conditions surrounding Winnipeg and Portage la Prairie are extremely poor.
