It won't likely stay on the ground this week, but the white stuff's here for the long haul when it does fall after the weekend. That's from Environment Canada Meteorologist Natalie Hassell.

Natalie Hassell"The temperatures in the forecast are mainly below zero definitely starting later this week. And they kind of stay there and continue to fall in the two week period. By next weekend and the beginning of next week, there's a suggestion that we'll have a system come through, so that could be when we start getting snow on the ground."

Hassell explains the mercury will get to about plus two and three in the next couple of days and will melt any snow that falls. She adds the beginning of next week has a system coming through making it just right for snow to remain.
