A songwriting duo from the Central Plains is proving they can create some beautiful music together. Ross Roteliuk, originally from Portage la Prairie and his girlfriend Tori Doell of Gladstone, have won the Radio Star National Talent Search. the pair won the songwriting competition for their song, "Still Love You." Roteliuk says after 12 years of hard work in the business, winning this prize for him felt like winning the lottery. He expects that this will really open some doors for them into the mainstream music scene. For winning the contest, the duo received prize money, musical instruments and the chance to attend the Canadian Music Week in Toronto at the end of the month to perform. They also get studio time at Metalworks Studios, Canada's premier recording studio. they will be able to put out their first album as a result of winning the competition.
