Graduation day arrived for Lighthouse Christian School and Academy in Southport. This past Friday saw families gathered from across the country whose children were enrolled in the Accelerated Christian Education curriculum and had passed all of their "paces".

"We had a total of 13 graduates," says Lighthouse Christian Academy administrator and School principal Darlene Long. "We had three from our local day school graduate. We also had ten homeschooling graduates come in as far away as New Brunswick. We had them from Alberta, Ontario, Saskatchewan, and, of course, Manitoba. Here, were Jacobi Waldner, Ksenia Yanchuck and Braydon Barthlette."

She says a musical performance was made by a homeschool graduate and her sister.

Vice Principal Sharon Vickruck adds the school currently has 48 students and another family's children are starting up this coming fall, putting this fall's enrolment at about 50, the biggest enrolment they've had to date.
