It's confirmed that Southport Aerospace Centre Inc. will remain home to flight training after the 2027 contract with KF Aerospace expires. Southport CEO Peggy May explains it was made known late last week that the Federal Government has decided to keep Southport as a flight training location. She adds it's amazing news for them, noting it will save hundreds of jobs for people in the central plains region. She explains a request for proposal is set to come out in 2019. May believes Southport will remain an attractive location for future pilot training.

"We believe we have the right facilities and services, and that we are making the right investments for future pilot training," says May.
