Southport's already preparing for this year's airshow that takes place on July 7th and 8th. A couple of the Snowbirds pilots were there yesterday making a round of pre-show inspections, and CEO Peggy May says they're excited.

"We're in really great shape," explains May. "We have a really great committee in place, and everybody has been super-helpful. So, I think we're well ahead for the airshow coming up. We have parking plans, transportation plans, the porta-potty patrol is working well together, and volunteers are coming onboard really strong."

May notes plenty of events are still being planned, and you can see the entire list on their website. She adds the SkyHawks are also flying, with several other great performers. May says she's amazed at all the food vendors who are excited about being part of the show, noting it'll be a veritable food festival.
